Accreditation is a process by which
a school's curricula and operations are examined by a third-party
accrediting commission to determine if the school meets
applicable standards set by the accrediting commission.
If the school should meet the accrediting commission's criteria,
the school will receive
accredited status from the accrediting commission or agency.
